EVERYTHING IN PLATING

We apply high precision electro plating for industrial applications requiring corrosion protection, high hardness, wear resistance, uniform thickness, and increased dry lubricity on parts from ounces to 300-lbs. Typical substrates plated include carbon steel, stainless steel, copper alloys and aluminum alloys. Typical thicknesses range from .0001- 5mm thick.

For Quality Control, we have branded instruments like Mitutoyo micrometers having range from 0 to 1500 mm. Bore gages having range from 30 to 450 mm. vernier caliper up to 2 feet. Dial vernier, coat measuring instruments, magnifying glass, Slip gages and various tool room instruments to maintain required accuracy. Thickness measuring instruments for electroplated jobs. Surface roughness measuring instrument for evaluating Ra value of superfinished job.

HARD CROME PLATING

We specialized in Hard Chrome Plating (HCP), also known as industrial or engineered chrome plating, is a type of chrome plating that provides a very heavy coat of chromium on engineering parts that are typically made of steel. This helps preserve the lifespan of the parts and can provide high resistance to corrosion and wear of expensive metal objects thus increase durability.

WHITE ZINC PLATING

White Zinc Plating (WZP) sometimes referred to as white or blue zinc due to it's bluish white iridescence, is the most commonly specified zinc. Our white chromate plating is able to achieve better than 175 neutral salt spray hours to white corrosion. this is partially due to the cobalt contained in the formulation. To put this into perspective. The highest ASTM standard specified is 120 hours without supplementary topcoats.

YELLOW ZINC PLATING

We provide soft yellow and strong gold plating. Our yellow chromate selection is formulated similarly to our clear product and is able to achieve better than 175 neutral salt spray hours to white corrosion as well. This product can have a wide range of coloration based off of your specification. We have the experience to match your requirements.

BLACK ZINC PLATING

MEP has a vast experience in black zinc plating. Our black zinc is able to exceed 168 hours of neutral salt spray to white corrosion without supplementary topcoats. It has real advantages over other dark finishes which provides minimum corrosion resistance while still imparting a dark beautiful sheen. Other than salt spray, the primary difference is the thickness of black zinc as Zinc oxide is much thinner than black zinc that can be specified in ranges from .00005" to over 1 mil of thickness.

CADIUM PLATING

Cadmium plating is a type of coating process that offers technical benefits such as outstanding corrosion resistance, even in high-salt and low-thickness environments. Cad plating offers many advantages, including: Low levels of galvanic corrosion when in contact with elements like aluminumm, Corrosion resistance in aquatic settings, Extraordinary white luster identical to that of silver plating, Exemplary lubricity, Promotes low levels of electrical resistance, Complete rust prevention, Even ductile deposit, Can be soldered like tin.

NICKL PLATING

Our Nickel plating provides a unique combination of corrosion and wear resistance. It can add brightness, lustre and appeal. It also provides excellent adhesion properties for subsequent coating layers, which is why nickel is often used as an ‘undercoat’ for other coatings, such as chromium.

ENP PLATING

Electroless nickel-phosphorus plating is a chemical process that deposits an even layer of nickel-phosphorus alloy on the surface of a solid substrate, like metal or plastic. The process involves dipping the substrate in a water solution containing nickel salt and a phosphorus-containing reducing agent, usually a hypophosphite salt. It is the most common version of electroless nickel plating (EN plating).
